Full Time Field Technician Hired

JD Hilmes has joined Rough Riders Communications. JD recently completed an Army enlistment and brings several years of expereince with satellite communications and networking.


Rough Riders Communications is based out of Leedey, Oklahoma. We provide the highest performing satellite communications system in the oil/gas industry.

Rough Riders Communications has the most experienced communications/networking personnel in the oilfield industry.

Our engineering staff has over 40 years of satellite experience, actually designing and deploying LEO (low earth orbiting) and GEO (geostationary) satellites including Inmarsat, Iridium, GPS, Galileo, Sirius, and XM. Our engineering staff also has over 40 years of cellular and network experience, having been instrumental in the development of GSM, CDMA2k, and WCDMA cellular systems.


Our field technicians are best-in-class, all achieving their education and training in the military. All are experienced in computers, networking, telephone systems, and electronics. Their military background and experience will solve any issues you may have.
